A Fabulously Classy Hen Party!

We celebrated my sister's last few days as a single lady a few weeks ago in Coolatore House in Westmeath and it was fabulous! I won't go into too much detail as I have two dozen photos to share with you and also as I was one of the organisers and it's not polite to toot your own horn...

However...

To quote the bride-to-be...

All my dreams before last weekend, were nightmares about things can could go wrong at the wedding.... now they are all amazing dreams of super manor houses with amazing birds and good good times!! I swear, its totally made me the happiest bride to be ever...

Toot toot!!

Old Crafts: Simple Sewing Projects

When I started using my sewing machine, I had no idea what I was doing.
Slowly and surely, I started on little projects and worked my way up...

I'll probably have to learn it all again, when I get back into it, but oh well.
The little projects are always lots of fun!

Old Crafts: Birthday Cards and Cakes

During my undergraduate degree, I started getting more crafty and adventurous with paper, baking and sewing. These days, I'm doing less and less crafty stuff and putting my efforts into other things, such as enjoying life and being more active. I know it's just a phase and some time in the near future I'll take out my craft supplies and sewing machine again and that will be a good day! Right now though, it feels good to take a break.

In my final year of undergrad, I really got into making cards and cakes for my friends.* I made the cards myself using bits and pieces I bought from craft shops and templates from this website. The cakes were a joint collaboration between my friends and I. It was so much fun to get together, create an awesomely shaped cake and ice it all over with butter icing.

And the looks on everyone's faces when receiving homemade cards and cakes was always priceless!

These are the first pictures I've ever edited using Photoshop... I'm quite proud!

P.S. I shared these projects on Craftster (here and here) and Cut Out + Keep (here and here) before, if you'd like to check out some of the others.

*Mostly as a way to avoid studying.
